2012 Rockies Special Jury Prizes
The 2012 Rockies Program Competition will provide additional opportunities for recognition to programs in the following categories:
The Best Green Program Award
The Best Green Program Award honours a program, series or other visual media production that treats an environmental issue or cause with exceptional originality, clarity and persuasiveness. Any submission to the Rockies Program Competition that includes environmentally-oriented content is eligible to be considered for this award – just be sure to indicate that the entry is a green project during the submission process.
A Selection Committee will review all candidates and select a shortlist based on the originality of the subject treated, the spirit of the production, and entries' ability to persuade viewers on the importance of the subject. A shortlist will be passed on to the Green Jury, which will choose six nominees, one of which will be named the Best Green Program.
The Banff Francophone Grand Prize
The Banff Francophone Grand Prize honours programs that are original produced in the French language, from anywhere in the world. Any submission to the Rockies Program Competition that is originally produced is French AND is nominated for a Rockie award in their entered category will be eligible for a Francophone grand prize. Just be sure to indicate that the entry is originally produced in the French language in the entry process.
A Francophone Jury will review all candidates based on the originality, style, execution and substance of the program being considered. A winner will be chosen and presented at this year's Rockies Awards Lunch on Monday, June 11, 2012.
*To be considered by the Francophone Jury, please submit your program into the international competition in the French language with English subtitles, or upload both the French and English (dubbed) verion of your program.
